To address a nationwide shortage of skilled labor, the Delhi government embarked on an ambitious greenfield project – establishing the World Class Skill Centre (WCSC) in Delhi, with valuable technical assistance from the Singapore government. A formal MOU signed during the Singapore Prime Minister's visit to India in July 2012 solidified this collaborative effort.
More than just infrastructure, the WCSC in Jonapur, Delhi, stands as a pioneering national landmark designed to redefine vocational training in India. This prestigious center prioritizes "institution creation" – fostering a world-class environment, training technologies, and curriculum to equip the nation's youth with globally relevant skills.
